Google is introducing a new feature that integrates image assets from Google Merchant Center directly into Google Ads. This allows advertisers to seamlessly use and enhance product images from the Merchant Center in their Google Ads campaigns.
Integration and Features
- Google Merchant Center Feed: Product images from Merchant Center feeds can be imported into Google Ads and stored in the Asset Library.
- AI Image Editor: Advertisers can use AI image editor to enhance and generate new campaign images from existing product images.
- Performance Max Campaigns: Link Merchant Center feeds with Performance Max campaigns to efficiently achieve business goals and create high-quality image assets.
Benefits
- Enhanced Images: Automatically enhance product images using AI-generated images for Performance Max campaigns.
- High-Quality Assets: Efficiently create high-quality image assets with feeds from Google Merchant Center.
- Access and Import: Access images from your product feed, including those created using Google Product Studio, and import them via the media picker in the AI image editor.
How It Works
- Link Accounts: Link your Google Ads account to Merchant Center.
- Import Images: Import images from the Merchant Center into the Asset Library. Note that edited images will only be saved in the Asset Library, not back to the product feed.
- Performance Max Campaigns: You can include up to 20 images per campaign, which may limit the number of images imported from the Merchant Center.
For large numbers of products and images, you can search and filter based on variables like Merchant ID and Item ID. You can select individual feeds or multiple feeds using feed labels. For more details, visit Google's Help Center.
