Google introduced Flight Deals, an AI-powered flight search tool within Google Flights designed for flexible travelers focused on saving money. Instead of manually adjusting dates, destinations, and filters, users can describe their travel preferences in natural language, and Flight Deals will find matching low-fare options.
How Flight Deals Works
Users can input queries like “week-long trip this winter to a city with great food, nonstop only” or “10 day ski trip to a world-class resort with fresh powder” to discover the best bargains, including destinations they might not have previously considered. The tool uses Google’s advanced AI to understand the nuances of travel requests and taps into real-time Google Flights data to provide up-to-date options from hundreds of airlines and booking sites.
Launch and Availability
Flight Deals is currently in beta to gather feedback and explore how AI can enhance travel planning. The original Google Flights remains available and is being improved, including a new feature allowing users to exclude basic economy fares for trips within the U.S. and Canada. Flight Deals will roll out over the next week in the U.S., Canada, and India without requiring opt-in. It can be accessed via the Flight Deals page or through the top-left menu on Google Flights.
