Google Tag Manager (GTM) now allows adding event parameters directly within the Google Ads Conversion Tracking tag template, providing greater flexibility in data sending to Google Ads. This update enables event parameters to map into Custom Variables in Google Ads, allowing users to send specific details like color or product_category parameters and utilize them in Google Ads reports. This feature is newly live and addresses a long-standing need. Enhanced Conversions remain managed separately through the Google Ads User-provided Data Event tag template.
