Meta has introduced a new breakdown option called 'Creative' in Ads Manager, enabling advertisers to analyze ad performance based on specific creative elements. This update provides insights into two key features:
Flexible Format Breakdown
With 'Flexible format' enabled, advertisers can include up to 10 images and videos in a single ad campaign. The new breakdown allows viewing results by each flexible format element, helping to understand which images or videos perform best.
AI-Generated Image Breakdown
For campaigns using AI-generated image variations to diversify creatives, advertisers can now compare performance data specifically for these generated images versus original creatives.
Additional Creative-Level Breakdowns
Meta is expanding breakdown options at the creative level. Some ad accounts now show a 'Related media' breakdown, which reflects an automated ad optimization feature that adds existing images or videos—previously uploaded and used in other ads—to current campaigns.
This update marks a significant shift as Meta opens part of its "black box," allowing advertisers to gain detailed insights into how flexible formats and AI-generated images impact ad performance.
