Google Ads has introduced diagnostic information for Enhanced Conversions, making it more visible within accounts. Enhanced Conversions improve conversion measurement and bidding by sending hashed first-party data to Google in a privacy-safe way. This tool is similar to the diagnostic tool previously rolled out for Google Tag Manager and Google Tag.
Where to Find Enhanced Conversion Diagnostics
To access the Enhanced Conversion diagnostics, navigate to: Conversion Actions -> Summary -> Diagnostics -> Enhanced Conversions "See details" in the Google Ads UI.
Diagnostic Report Status
At the top of your diagnostics report, you'll see one of the following status messages indicating your overall enhanced conversions setup status:
- Recording enhanced conversions: No major issues detected.
- Enhanced conversions not in use: Customer data terms not accepted.
- Waiting to receive enhanced conversion data: Data not yet received by Google.
- Setup issues detected: Issues with the setup.
- No recent conversion data to process: No recorded conversions in the last 7 days.
Types of Data Quality
There are four types of data quality for offline diagnostic data:
- Excellent: Setup is active and fully optimized.
- Good: Setup is active but can be improved by sending more user data.
- Needs attention: Setup is active but has errors requiring attention.
- No recent data: No data recorded in the last 7 days.
This new diagnostic feature aims to help users better understand and optimize their Enhanced Conversion setups, ensuring more accurate conversion tracking and improved bidding strategies.
