Instagram has broadened the reach of its Creator Marketplace, a platform where brands can find creators to help enhance their messaging to targeted audiences. The Marketplace allows brands to search for creators based on various factors such as audience size, location, and common topics.
After its initial expansion in February, the Creator Marketplace is now accessible in the U.S., Canada, the U.K., Japan, Australia, New Zealand, India, and Brazil. Instagram has further extended its reach to ten new markets: South Korea, Germany, Netherlands, France, Spain, Israel, Turkey, Mexico, Argentina, and Indonesia.
Additionally, Instagram has added the capability for Chinese export brands to collaborate with creators outside of China, thus offering another utilization of the Creator Marketplace. These expansions aim to provide more brands and creators with opportunities to connect and collaborate on affiliate and creative marketing programs, potentially leading to more effective and responsive campaigns.
Influencer marketing, particularly through creative-focused elements like Reels, has been yielding better results in many cases, making it a valuable consideration for campaigns. To be listed in the Creator Marketplace, creators must be over 18 and comply with Instagram's branded content and monetization policies. Brands can access the Creator Marketplace through the Ads Manager.
