An example showcased in a video demonstrates the technology's ability to sync lip movements with translated words, specifically from English to Spanish and vice versa. While the Spanish translation may sound slightly loud and aggressive, the voice mimicry is notable. The speaker recalls using a third-party app, HeyGen, for similar functionality, predicting that such features would eventually be integrated into platforms like Meta.
Although the current translations are not perfect, they represent significant progress. This feature aims to enhance the global reach and accessibility of videos, with plans for broader availability, including for advertisements in the future.
