Google has announced the April 2025 update to the Display & Video 360 API, introducing several new features and improvements to enhance functionality for advertisers and partners.
What's New in the Update
New Exchange Support
The update adds support for two new exchanges:
- Commerce Grid exchange
- Spotify exchange
These additions expand the platform's reach, allowing advertisers to access more inventory sources.
Enhanced Content Theme Targeting
Google has introduced read-only support for excluded content theme targeting. This targeting feature is configured at the advertiser level and automatically inherited by YouTube and Demand Gen line items, providing more control over ad placements.
Custom Bidding Algorithm Improvements
For select partners, the update includes new ruleset settings in the AlgorithmRules
object used in rule-based custom bidding algorithms. These enhancements offer more sophisticated bidding options for qualified partners.
Bug Fix
The update resolves a known issue where advertisers.list
requests were ignoring provided orderBy
parameters, improving sorting functionality.
