Google has introduced two major updates to Performance Max (PMax) campaigns based on advertiser feedback, enhancing audience reach and visibility.
Waze Ads Integration for Store Goals
Performance Max now includes Waze ads inventory for store goals campaigns in the U.S., allowing businesses to appear as "Promoted Places in Navigation" pins on users' Waze maps. This integration requires no additional setup, as PMax automatically uses existing assets to optimize for Store Visits, Store Sales, or Local Actions Directions. This feature extends Local Ads and is especially useful for capturing last-minute or holiday travel-related store visits. Expansion of Waze inventory to markets beyond the U.S. is planned for 2026.
Enhanced Channel Performance Reporting
All Performance Max campaigns now have channel performance reporting, providing detailed insights into where ads run. Soon, reporting will include search partners and will be accessible via manager accounts (MCC). The channel performance report features visualization and distribution tables, with search partners added for more comprehensive data. Recent improvements from September include bulk reporting and download capabilities, result segmentation, and more. Google offers tutorial videos and best practices guides to help advertisers utilize these reports effectively.
These updates aim to improve campaign performance visibility and help advertisers better connect with their audiences.
