Migration to OpenRTB, deprecation of the Authorized Buyers Real-time Bidding Protocol

The Authorized Buyers Real-time Bidding protocol is a protocol previously used for real-time bid requests within Google's Authorized Buyers system. It is a set of rules and standards that define how bidding on ad inventory occurs in real-time.

The Authorized Buyers RTB protocol will be sunset on February 15th, 2025. After this date, bid requests will no longer be sent to endpoints configured to use this protocol.

After the sunset of the Authorized Buyers RTB protocol, the OpenRTB protocol will be the only supported protocol for real-time bidding in Google's Authorized Buyers system.

To migrate to the OpenRTB protocol, it is recommended to:

1. Read through the OpenRTB migration guide.
2. Understand the differences between the Google RTB protocol and the supported OpenRTB formats.
3. Identify how Google RTB protocol fields map to OpenRTB fields.
4. Follow instructions for complex mappings provided in the guide.

Google will continue to update developer content to provide additional guidance for a smooth migration.
