Microsoft Clarity has introduced a new beta feature called AI Bot Activity, designed to reveal the often hidden automated interactions on websites. While traditional analytics track user behavior, many AI assistants, search crawlers, and automated agents access site content quietly in the background, leaving teams with little visibility.
Key Capabilities of AI Bot Activity in Clarity
With this feature, users can:
- Identify which AI systems and bots are accessing their website content.
- Track the frequency and scale of these automated crawls.
- Discover which pages and resources receive the most attention from bots.
This initial beta provides basic visibility metrics, with plans for more detailed insights and expanded reporting in the future. The feature aims to help teams transition from having blind spots about automated web access to making informed decisions based on this data.
AI Bot Activity can be accessed in Microsoft Clarity under Dashboards → AI Visibility → Bot Activity.
