Clicking on the "more information" option in the credit card search box reveals that the content comes from Google's Knowledge Graph, which includes information about people, places, and things. It clarifies that these are not ads, stating, "This is a search result, not an ad. Only ads are paid, and they'll always be labeled with 'Sponsored' or 'Ad.'"
Selecting a result leads to a more detailed Google Search on that specific credit card. This new SERP feature is significant for affiliate sites focused on finance, implying potential challenges for affiliates. Historically, Google had a similar ad format called "credit card comparison ads" under Google Advisor.
