Pinterest has introduced a new Media Buyer certification course within its Pinterest Academy education platform. The course is available to all Pinterest Academy subscribers at no cost. The certification aims to validate an individual's knowledge and experience with Pinterest's ad platform, helping marketers to distinguish themselves in a competitive industry.
To earn the certification, participants must pass a 60-question multiple choice exam, covering topics such as campaign activation, optimization, and ads reporting. A minimum score of 70% is required to pass the exam. If a participant fails, they must wait two weeks before retaking the exam.
The certification is designed for media buyers with two to five years of experience, including one to two years of experience with Pinterest advertising tools. This is the latest addition to Pinterest's education platform, which was launched in 2019 to enhance and validate users' Pin knowledge through certifications and badges.
With Pinterest now boasting 518 million monthly active users, many of whom visit the platform with a high intent to purchase, increasing one's Pin knowledge and optimizing campaigns on the app could be beneficial.
