Google Ads has expanded its Promotion Assets capabilities with new promo code options, giving advertisers more flexibility in how they present promotional codes to customers.
The update introduces two main promo code formats:
Barcode Integration
The Promo code (Barcode) feature allows advertisers to incorporate various barcode formats including:
- Aztec
- Data Matrix
- EAN-8
To implement a barcode, advertisers need to input their barcode number and select their preferred barcode type from the available options.
QR Code Implementation
The new Promo code (QR Code) option enables direct text encoding with a 720-character limit. While the feature allows for text encoding, it currently does not support link integration.
These new promotional features are now accessible within Google Ads accounts, enhancing the way businesses can present and distribute promotional codes to their target audience.
