Google Ads has introduced a beta feature for Demand Gen campaigns that allows advertisers to select which video types to prioritize in their creatives. This new functionality was first spotted by marketer Jem Bourouh. The feature is currently available only in beta and requires activation by a Google representative.
The beta enables advertisers to choose specific video types for their campaigns, providing more control over creative elements and placement. This addition expands the customization options for Demand Gen campaigns.
The video types available for selection in this beta are:
In-stream: These ads are shown on YouTube as in-stream advertisements.
Shorts: This option displays ads on YouTube Shorts.
In-feed: These ads appear in multiple locations, including YouTube search results, "watch next" suggestions, the YouTube Home feed, and Google Discover.
This new feature allows for the selection of video ad placements across various YouTube environments. The beta is part of ongoing developments in Google's advertising platform for video content.
