Google has announced a series of important updates coming to Display & Video 360 in July 2024. These changes will affect various aspects of reporting and data handling within the platform, impacting both Display & Video 360 and Campaign Manager 360 users. The updates include privacy enhancements, conversion modeling improvements, reporting changes, and terminology updates.

- This redaction is driven by new privacy legislation due to take effect.
- Similar to prior redactions due to legislation enacted in California for CCPA in 2020.
2. Updates to Conversion Modeling for Safari 17+ Traffic
- Updating conversion modeling scope for Campaign Manager 360 and Display & Video 360 to include traffic occurring on Safari 17+ versions.

3. Tracking Events for Misconfigured Creatives
- Tracking events of misconfigured creative using "Requires ping for attribution" will be dropped.
- When trafficking a third-party creative that includes the ${DC_DBM_TOKEN} macro and "Requires ping for attribution" has been enabled, inner tracking events will be dropped if there is a misconfiguration between the Campaign Manager 360 account linked to the creative and the account linked to the Display & Video 360 account.
- The events dropped will result in misplaced attribution in Campaign Manager 360 reporting.
4. Exchange Name Change
- "YouTube & partners" exchange name will be changed to "Google & Network".
5. Time of Day Reporting Format Update
- To allow for proper sorting of Time of Day, reports will return all hours as 2-digit values.

6. Insertion Order Terminology Update
- Insertion order "KPI" will be replacing "Goal".
- This change will be reflected across the UI, SDF, reporting, and API.
These updates aim to enhance privacy compliance, improve reporting accuracy, and streamline terminology across the platform. Users should prepare for these changes to ensure smooth transitions in their reporting processes.
