Apple is planning a major revamp of Siri, Apple Intelligence, and Apple Search features for 2026, introducing an AI-powered web search tool integrated into Siri. This new system, called World Knowledge Answers, will gather information from across the internet and provide AI-generated summaries to deliver faster and more accurate results. It will be incorporated into the Safari browser, Spotlight, and the default iPhone search.
The underlying technology, referred to as Linwood and LLM Siri, forms the foundation for this AI search feature. These updates are expected in a software release internally named Luck E, possibly iOS version 26.4, anticipated as early as March.
To enhance this effort, Apple is collaborating with Google to test a Google-developed AI model that will support the voice assistant. The new search experience will feature an interface that integrates text, photos, videos, and local points of interest for a richer user interaction.
