YouTube has released several new features and improvements for creators, including enhancements to the Replace Song feature, updates to the Insider Community, and a new Roblox-themed Shorts effect.
Insider Community Expansion
YouTube is encouraging subscribers to engage with their Insider Community. Users who have been subscribed to the Creator Insider channel for more than a week can access this community by navigating to the channel's homepage from the YouTube app. The platform is inviting users to introduce themselves and share their thoughts on recently tried YouTube features.
Replace Song Feature Improvements
A significant update has been made to the Replace Song feature in YouTube Studio. The enhancements include:
- A new suggestions tab that leverages AI to recommend 10 relevant tracks for videos
- Ability to select the same song multiple times within a single editing session
- Option to perform song erase within one edit sequence
These improvements aim to give creators more control over their audio edits and help them address copyright issues more efficiently.
Hype Feature Testing in Turkey
YouTube's Hype feature, which remains in limited beta, has expanded to include a paid option for eligible creators in Turkey. While users still receive three free Hypes per week on eligible videos, they can now pay to give additional points to videos they want to support. This increases the video's chances of reaching the leaderboard. The paid Hype option is currently available to a small number of creators in Turkey during this testing phase.
New Roblox Shorts Effect
Following last week's announcement about Sims, YouTube has launched a new Roblox shorts effect. This interactive feature allows creators to wear different iconic Roblox heads based on how quickly they can tap the Roblox Cube in their Shorts videos.
YouTube has indicated they will continue to share updates and learnings as these features expand to more creators.
