Meta’s AI Media Generation Progress
This launch builds on Meta’s AI research journey, starting with the 2022 Make-A-Scene models for image, audio, video, and 3D animation generation. The development of diffusion models led to the Llama Image foundation models, enhancing image and video quality and enabling instruction-based editing. Last year, Meta introduced Movie Gen, a model capable of producing and editing videos and sounds from simple text inputs. The new AI video editing feature is the first practical application of this research, aiming to empower users to express themselves, connect, and bring creative ideas to life through video.
