Google's Search Liaison, Danny Sullivan, acknowledged complaints that search results do not always show content from the site mentioned in the query. He confirmed that the Google Search team is actively working on improving this issue. Sullivan reiterated that when a site's name is included in a query, the search results should reasonably show content from that site. He emphasized that Google should do a better job in these cases and has flagged the issue to the ranking team.
An example was provided by Wendy Graham of Moral Fibres, where her site did not appear in search results despite including the site name in the query. Sullivan agreed that content from the specified site should generally be shown and mentioned that a site command could work, although most searchers are unaware of this feature. The situation is being monitored to see if improvements are made.
