Introducing a new feature in the Search Console Performance report, users can now view search traffic data in weekly and monthly aggregations, in addition to the existing daily view. This enhancement allows for a clearer understanding of long-term trends by smoothing out daily fluctuations, which can obscure whether a site is growing or declining over time.
To activate this feature, users can select their preferred view from a drop-down menu in the chart area of the Performance report, applicable to Search results, Google News, and Discover. This change is particularly beneficial for comparing date ranges, as it eliminates confusion caused by misaligned weekends in daily comparisons.
Additionally, the update includes slight modifications to the export file structure, affecting file and tab names, column headers, and sort order to align with the selected granularity. The new options are being rolled out globally to all Search Console properties. Feedback can be shared on LinkedIn or in the Google Search Central Community.
