Google Search Now Indexes EPUB Files

Google Search now supports indexing Electronic Publication (.epub) files. This addition was recently included in Google's help documentation. Although the support may have been in place slightly earlier, it was officially documented within the last 24 hours. Google stated, "Google Search now supports epub." The effectiveness of these files in ranking for standard searches remains uncertain.
