Google Analytics has introduced a Generated Insights feature that enhances data anomaly decoding by summarizing trends and significant changes in reports using plain language. These insights are prominently displayed at the top of detail reports and include a call-to-action button to modify the report based on the insights provided.
For instance, if there is a spike in purchase events on specific dates, Google's AI analyzes various dimensions and metrics to explain these trends clearly. An example shows an insight card highlighting a doubled purchase event spike on April 10th, linked to specific demographics, with options to view key drivers and Ecommerce purchase reports.
Users can provide feedback on the generated insights by using thumbs-up or thumbs-down buttons to indicate relevance, or dismiss the insight banner entirely. This feedback helps Google Analytics tailor future insights to better meet user needs.
