Google Analytics 4 (GA4) has introduced five new recommended events specifically for lead generation, complementing the existing generate_lead
event. The new events are as follows:
Event Name | Description |
---|---|
working_lead | Triggered when a user interacts with a representative |
qualify_lead | Triggered when a user meets qualified lead criteria |
disqualify_lead | Triggered when a user is marked as a disqualified lead |
close_convert_lead | Triggered when a lead is successfully converted |
close_unconvert_lead | Triggered when a lead is marked as not converted |
These events can include useful parameters such as value, reasons, lead status, and items. Google recommends using these native events to take advantage of potential new integrations, reports, automated insights, and predictive audiences. Additionally, these events can be sent via server directly from your CRM to Google Analytics 4, enhancing site and campaign analysis.
