Starting June 15, 2026, the Google Ads API will expand product reporting to cover all Performance Max networks, offering comprehensive performance metrics across various campaign types and channels such as Performance Max, Shopping, Video, App, and Demand Gen.
Key Changes
Previously, product reporting in Video, Demand Gen, and App campaigns was limited to basic metrics like impressions and clicks, and Performance Max campaigns reported only some networks. The update introduces:
- Expanded Metrics for
shopping_product: Cost and Conversion metrics will now include data from Video, Demand Gen, and App campaigns, in addition to Shopping and Performance Max. - Consistent Campaign Reporting with
shopping_performance_view: All campaign types using Google Merchant Center (GMC) will return results throughshopping_performance_view. - Network Transparency for Performance Max: All networks will be reported for Performance Max campaigns when querying
shopping_performance_view, which may cause a one-time increase in product reporting metrics for these campaigns.
Additional Details
- The expanded data and metrics will be available only from June 15, 2026, onward.
- Historical API requests for dates before this launch will not include the new data.
