As of version 17 of the Google Ads API, recommendations of type LOWER_TARGET_ROAS have incorrectly displayed the current_average_target_micros as a whole currency value instead of a micros value. A fix will be implemented on April 23, 2025, to ensure that current_average_target_micros reflects the correct micros value. The current representation is truncated, leading to less precision; for instance, a value of 5 could have been inaccurately converted to 5,000,000 micros, while the corrected value might be 5,750,000.
Users of the Google Ads API or Google Ads scripts must update their applications to interpret current_average_target_micros as micros rather than a whole budget value after the change takes effect. For further assistance, users can refer to the Google Ads API support page.
