We're excited to announce the open source release of the Google Ads API Model Context Protocol (MCP) Server. This project aims to democratize access to Google Ads data for AI tools and agent developers. The Model Context Protocol (MCP) is an open standard that enables Large Language Models (LLMs), such as Google Gemini, to interact with external data sources and applications. The MCP Server for the Google Ads API allows any MCP-compatible AI application to analyze advertising campaigns using natural language.
This initial release is read-only, intended for reporting and diagnostics without making changes to user accounts. For technical issues, users can refer to the GitHub repo, while support for the API can be obtained through the Google Ads API support channel. For further inquiries or discussions, the “Google Advertising and Measurement Community” Discord server is available for communication.
