Meta Enforces New AI Disclosure Rules Against Expanded Use

Meta has introduced a new AI-generated label option that appears within the post composer flow. This label is part of Meta's expanded AI disclosure requirements, allowing users to tag their content as AI-generated when they upload it to Facebook and Instagram.

Meta's AI detection tools are designed to automatically detect AI image indicators in content. When such indicators are found, Meta will append a 'Made with AI' label to the content. This is to ensure that users are aware that the image is AI-generated and not real, helping to alleviate confusion about the authenticity of what they are seeing.

AI-generated images are becoming a problem for Facebook users because an increasing number of Facebook pages are using disturbing AI-generated images to fish for likes.
