Meta introduced a significant update to its Instagram platform, enabling users to share their previously posted Reels directly to Facebook. This new feature aims to enhance content reach across both social media platforms.
The update brings three major capabilities to content creators:
Historical Content Sharing
Users can now select and share their past Instagram Reels that haven't been previously shared to their Facebook Pages, expanding their content's visibility across platforms.
Automated Scheduling System
The platform implemented an automated scheduling system that allows creators to:
- Schedule up to 100 Reels simultaneously
- Distribute content automatically over a 30-day period when sharing 6 or more Reels
Monetization Opportunities
Meta expanded its monetization framework, offering eligible creators the opportunity to generate revenue by sharing their Reels content to Facebook. This feature opens new avenues for content creators to capitalize on their existing Instagram content through cross-platform distribution.
