Key Points of the Policy Update

- Do not focus on sexual pleasure or enhancement.
- Avoid sexually suggestive elements and themes.
- Do not disparage physical attributes or employ body shaming.
- Do not target or feature minors.
- Comply with the existing Sexual content policy.
Enforcement:
- Begins on 3 September 2024.
- Full enforcement will ramp up over approximately 12 weeks.
- Violations will not lead to immediate account suspension without prior warning.
- A warning will be issued at least seven days before any account suspension.
Ads violating these criteria will still be subject to Google Ads’ Sexual content policy and may be restricted or disapproved.
