Starting February 2, 2026, the Google Ads API will cease to accept new adopters of session attributes and IP address data for conversion imports. Developers are encouraged to transition to the Data Manager API, which supports these data types, for a more robust experience. Existing users of session attributes or IP addresses in their click conversion imports can continue using the Google Ads API until they migrate to the Data Manager API.
Technical Details
Developers will be allowlisted by their developer token. Following the change, the error CUSTOMER_NOT_ALLOWLISTED_FOR_THIS_FEATURE may appear in partial_failure responses, indicating rejection of conversions due to session attributes or IP addresses.
To resolve this error:
- Temporarily remove session attributes and IP addresses from conversion import requests to continue using the Google Ads API.
- Update your code to utilize the Data Manager API for session attributes and IP addresses.
- Discontinue imports to the Google Ads API once successful with the Data Manager API.
