Google Analytics 4 (GA4) has introduced two new recommendations aimed at enhancing key event tracking.
New Recommendation Types
- Mark as Key Event: This recommendation allows users to identify existing events on their property that require closer tracking and designate them as key events with a single click.
- Create Key Event: This recommendation suggests creating new events based on specific page views and automatically marks them as key events, simplifying the process to just one click.
These recommendations enable users to track key events effectively, leading to automated insights, detailed reports, and improved measurement of Google Ads campaign performance. Users can find these new recommendations on the Home page, Insights hub, and Reports snapshot in Google Analytics.
About Recommendations
GA4 provides tailored recommendations to optimize data accuracy and leverage new features based on the property's history, settings, and trends across Google Analytics. Recommendations are displayed in the Recommendations section on the Home page and contextually throughout the platform. Newly created properties may not show recommendations immediately, but GA4 regularly updates and introduces new suggestions.
