GA4 now includes the feature to export data directly to Google Sheets from the interface reports. However, there's a limit - only up to 5000 rows can be exported when downloading a report as a CSV file or Google Sheets.
You can share a link to a report or export a report to Google Sheets, PDF, or CSV. To do this, you need the Viewer role at the property level.
To share a report:
- Select 'Reports' from the left menu.
- Click 'Share this report' at the top right of a report.
- Select 'Share Link'.
- Click 'Copy link'.
The link is then copied to your device clipboard for sharing.
To export a report:
- Select 'Reports' from the left menu.
- Click 'Share this report' at the top right of a report.
- Select 'Download File'.
- Choose from 'Download PDF', 'Download CSV', or 'Export to Google Sheets'.
The downloaded file, which includes up to 5,000 rows of data, will be available in your Downloads folder.
Additional options include sharing your report data by connecting Analytics to Looker Studio and exporting your report data using the Analytics Data API.
There are some limitations to sharing and exporting. For instance, you can't share a report while customizing it. Also, if a report is in the library but not in the navigation, check if it's part of a published collection.
