Google has announced several updates to its Display & Video 360 (DV360) and Campaign Manager 360 platforms, set to roll out in September and October 2024.
Display & Video 360 Updates
EMX Digital Rebranding:
- Effective September 2024
- Sub-exchange EMX Digital will be renamed Cadent Aperture MX in reporting
YouTube Report Compatibility Changes:
- Effective October 2024
- Several metrics will become incompatible with YouTube-specific metrics and dimensions:
- Regulatory Operating Costs (DST/ROC)
- Total Media Cost and related metrics (eCPC, eCPM, Viewable eCPM)
- This is in addition to previously incompatible Total Media Cost ePCA metrics
- Affected metrics will be removed from existing YouTube reports (saved and scheduled)
- New reports with YouTube-specific metrics or dimensions cannot include these metrics
- Recommendation: Use Media cost metrics and add fees to calculate total costs
Campaign Manager 360 Update
- Zip Code Format Change:
- Effective September 2024
- Zip code format in reporting will change from integer to string
These updates aim to improve reporting accuracy and align with platform changes. Advertisers and agencies using DV360 and Campaign Manager 360 should review their current reports and make necessary adjustments to ensure continuity in their data analysis and reporting processes.
