Image-to-video transformation - Now powered by Google's latest Veo model, this feature is available in Merchant Center and will be coming to Google Ads in the future.
AI outpainting - This technology intelligently expands videos beyond their original frames—the same technology behind "The Wizard of Oz" at Sphere. Outpainting is currently available in Google Ads App campaigns and will expand to more campaign types later this year.
Google is also centralizing creative tools in a new destination called Asset Studio, coming soon to Google Ads. This hub will feature the latest versions of existing creative tools with new capabilities rolling out later this year. Advertisers will be able to generate stunning images featuring their products and show products in action—a feature currently rolling out within Ads and Merchant Center that will soon be available in Asset Studio.

Product Studio was introduced two years ago as a free suite of AI tools in Merchant Center, helping merchants optimize visuals and copy, generate custom lifestyle scenes, remove backgrounds, boost resolution, and create videos.
The new "generated for you" feature takes this further by:
- Proactively analyzing trends to suggest fresh campaign concepts
- Recommending featured products and discounts to help products stand out
- Providing title improvements for content that resonates across Google surfaces and new formats
Shape Brand Identity and Content
Google is evolving Merchant Center into a comprehensive brand and content hub. Currently rolling out to retailers, brand profiles provide the ability to shape how a brand appears on Search. Through Merchant Center, retailers will be able to:
- Claim their profiles
- Access tools to curate imagery
- Edit descriptions
- Review videos
This ensures consistent and up-to-date brand representation across Google.
Later this year, Google will introduce new video management tools to Merchant Center, serving as a one-stop mission control for all video content. It will centralize retailers' videos from their websites, YouTube, and social platforms, and make proactive AI suggestions to enhance them for promotions and trends. This enables effortless management and syncing with Google Ads, ultimately driving engagement and sales.
