Snapchat Unveils AI Features and DM Editing

Snapchat's new generative AI feature enables users to create custom clothing for their Bitmoji characters using AI prompts. Users can provide a short description, such as 'vibrant graffiti' or 'skull flower', to the Bitmoji creation system, which then generates unique patterns for digital garments that can be edited and applied to their characters.

To use Snapchat's 'My AI' as a digital assistant, you simply need to ask for a reminder in direct chats or in a conversation with one other friend. By sending a quick message to My AI, it will set up an in-app Countdown to help you remember important deadlines or events, ensuring you never miss a moment.

Snapchat's new AI-powered Lens feature gives users a glimpse of what they would look like in the 90s by placing them into a simulated scene from that era. This feature is an AI integration that offers an alternate depiction within the app, similar to Snap's 'Dreams' feature.

To edit DMs in Snapchat, users will soon be able to update their messages for up to 5 minutes after sending them, but only before the recipient replies. This feature will initially be available to Snapchat+ subscribers and is designed to correct typos or adjust messages that didn't come out as intended.
