Snap Inc. and Perplexity have partnered to integrate Perplexity’s AI-powered answer engine directly into Snapchat, providing nearly 1 billion monthly users a new way to ask questions and explore topics through conversational AI. Starting early 2026, Perplexity will be available in Snapchat’s Chat interface, delivering clear, conversational answers from verifiable sources within the app.

This collaboration highlights Snap’s role as a trusted platform for AI companies to engage a large, mobile-native audience. Snapchat has over 943 million monthly active users, with more than 75% of 13–34-year-olds in over 25 countries using the app. Perplexity will pay Snap $400 million over one year in cash and equity as the global rollout progresses, with revenue expected to contribute starting in 2026.
