Meta is expanding its Broadcast Channels feature to all Facebook Pages with over 10,000 followers, allowing them to create channels on Facebook and Messenger. Initially launched in October last year after success on Instagram, the feature now includes new elements:
- Cross-Platform Sharing: Automatically share updates from Instagram channels to Facebook channels.
- Early Access to Content: Channel managers can publish Facebook posts to channel members before they go live on the Page.
- Share to Stories: Creators and members can share channel content via Facebook Stories with a dedicated sticker format.
Instagram creators can also create Broadcast Channels, though it's not universally available yet. Professional Mode creators with over 10,000 followers will gain access in the coming months.
Broadcast Channels offer a way to maintain ongoing connections with audiences through inbox updates and can be pinned in the "Featured" section at the top of Pages. Meta suggests it aligns with current usage trends and has been popular, making it a viable option for regular updates to dedicated fans.
