Automation Unification shifts App, Sales, and Leads campaigns to the Advantage+ setup, prioritizing automation for optimal performance and easier access to Meta’s latest automation products. Meta is phasing out legacy APIs and migrating Marketing API developers to this new system.
Key Dates and Changes
- From V25.0 (February 18, 2025), ASC and AAC campaigns can no longer be created or updated via the Marketing API. This restriction will apply to all MAPI versions after 90 days, by May 19, 2026.
- By V26.0 (estimated September 2026), all remaining ASC and AAC campaigns will be paused.
Existing Customer Budget Caps (ECBC)
- ASC or AAC campaigns using ECBC remain editable until V26.0, but ECBC is not supported in Advantage+ campaigns.
- Developers with ECBC campaigns must replicate these campaigns before V26.0 using one of the following methods:
- Manual Duplication: Use Ads Manager to duplicate the existing campaign with one click, creating a new campaign with a new ID.
- API Replication: Follow developer documentation to replicate ECBC campaigns via API.
- Bulk Migration: Managed partners can request a one-time bulk migration by contacting their Meta POC with account IDs and preferred migration dates.
