Billions of people worldwide use glasses or contact lenses for vision correction, and many Ray-Ban Meta and Oakley Meta users already add prescription lenses to their AI glasses. Meta is launching a new optical-forward pair of Ray-Ban Meta glasses supporting nearly all prescriptions, alongside new colors, lens options, and advanced software updates like hands-free nutrition tracking and Meta AI WhatsApp summaries.
Prescription-Optimized AI Glasses
The new Ray-Ban Meta glasses are designed for those who rely on prescription eyewear and all-day comfort. Available in two styles—Blayzer (rectangular, Standard and Large sizes) and Scriber (rounded)—these glasses feature overextension hinges, interchangeable nose pads, and optician-adjustable temple tips for a tailored fit. Pre-orders start at $499 in the US on Meta.com and Ray-Ban.com, with availability at optical retailers in the US and select international markets from April 14.
New Colors and Lens Options
For spring and summer, Ray-Ban Meta (Gen 2) frames come in new color and lens combinations:
- Skyler: Shiny Transparent Peach with Transitions® Brown Lenses
- Headliner: Matte Transparent Peach with Transitions® Grey Lenses
- Wayfarer: Shiny Transparent Grey with Transitions® Sapphire Lenses
Oakley Meta Vanguard and HSTN also receive new vibrant frame colors and lenses, including Prizm™ Dark Golf lenses and, for the first time, Prizm™ Transitions® lenses on Oakley Meta Vanguard for adaptive outdoor performance:

Enhanced Features and Meta AI Capabilities
Meta glasses continue to evolve with software upgrades and AI features. Nutrition tracking is now hands-free: users can log food via voice or photo, with Meta AI extracting nutrition details to build personalized insights for healthier choices. This feature will soon be available in the US for users aged 18+ with Ray-Ban Meta and Oakley Meta glasses, and later for Meta Ray-Ban Display glasses.
Hands-free WhatsApp summaries and message recall are entering Early Access Program (EAP), allowing users to request concise chat summaries or specific message details. These interactions are processed on-device with end-to-end encryption and will be available soon for Ray-Ban Meta, Oakley Meta, and Meta Ray-Ban Display glasses.
Neural Handwriting on Meta Ray-Ban Display is rolling out soon, enabling silent message replies by writing with a finger on any surface. It supports Instagram, WhatsApp, Messenger, and native Android/iOS messaging. Display recording will soon allow combining in-lens interactions, the user's view, and audio into shareable videos.
Pedestrian navigation will expand to all US cities by May, providing turn-by-turn directions directly in the lens to keep users heads-up and phones pocketed. Recent updates also include Instagram Reels, personalized Spotify Shortcuts, and glanceable widgets like Reminders, Weather, Stocks, and Calendar on the home screen.
Additional software features are planned for rollout this spring alongside the new glasses.
