Introducing Today's New Event Organization Feature in WhatsApp

The new event organization feature on WhatsApp allows users to plan get-togethers directly within the app. This can be used for organizing various events such as virtual meetings or birthday dinners. Users can create an event, and others in the group can respond to indicate their attendance. The event details are accessible in the group’s information page, and attendees will receive a notification as the event approaches. This feature is initially available to groups that are part of a Community and will be expanded to all groups in the coming months.

Organized replies in Announcement Groups on WhatsApp enable members to respond to important updates from admins. This helps maintain an organized communication flow where replies are grouped together and minimized, allowing members to see responses in context. Additionally, to prevent clutter, notifications for these replies are muted for everyone. This feature aims to facilitate better interaction between admins and members while keeping the group an easy place to catch up on what's happening in the Community.

The new WhatsApp features, including event organization and organized replies in Announcement Groups, are rolling out in phases. Events are currently available to groups that are part of a Community and will be rolled out to all groups over the coming months. Similarly, the reply feature for Announcement Groups will also become available to more users as WhatsApp continues to release new tools for Communities and groups.
