Cryptocurrency Exchanges and Software Wallets
Starting September 20, 2024, advertisers targeting Switzerland can promote cryptocurrency exchanges and wallets if they:
- Are licensed by the Financial Market Supervisory Authority (FINMA) in Switzerland.
- Comply with other local legal requirements.
- Are certified by Google.
Hardware Wallets
Ads promoting hardware wallets that hold private keys for cryptocurrencies, NFTs, or other crypto-based assets are allowed, provided they:
- Do not offer additional services like purchasing, selling, exchanging, or trading assets.
- Comply with local legal requirements.
- Are certified by Google.
Compliance and Enforcement
- Advertisers must comply with local laws in the areas their ads target.
- This policy applies globally to all accounts advertising these financial products.
- Violations will not result in immediate account suspension; a warning will be issued at least 7 days prior to any suspension.
