Google is testing a new feature where the first "People Also Ask" (PAA) link is opened by default, eliminating the need to click to reveal the snippet. This change was observed by Brodie Clark, who shared a screenshot on X, noting that while the featured snippet appears as usual, the first PAA result is automatically expanded.
Clark mentioned that this results in a cluttered SERP layout but has been frequently seen on both desktop and mobile. Although Google is constantly experimenting, the reception to this particular test is mixed.
