Meta has started phasing out Dynamic Creative, a feature available since 2017, and replacing it with Flexible Ad Format. While both features are nearly identical, there is a key difference: Dynamic Creative allows for testing multiple CTA button options, whereas Flexible Ad Format does not.
This change is frustrating for users who relied on this capability. Both features allow testing of up to 10 videos or images, five primary text options, five headlines, and five descriptions. Users will now need to create multiple ads or use the A/B test option to test CTA buttons. There is hope that Meta might add this feature to Flexible Ad Format in the future.
