Conversion Maps in Microsoft Clarity are now accessible for most online stores, expanding beyond the previous limitation to Shopify users. This feature, which visualizes the contribution of page elements to conversions with percentage rates and purchase counts, was initially available since July 2023 but was temporarily removed.
The feature has now returned, and it operates by utilizing Clarity's machine learning model to link purchase events back to user interactions. To use this feature, a valid dataLayer with a purchase event is required, or users must be on standard e-commerce platforms. The Conversion Maps can be found in the heatmaps under the Conversion tab.
