TikTok has introduced a new feature for desktop users called the Floating Player.
This feature allows users to view videos in a separate player, allowing them to continue watching even when navigating other websites or apps. The Floating Player icon is located at the bottom of the video player, and when clicked, it generates the video in its separate player.
The feature also automatically plays new videos one after another. If a video is started from a creator's profile, the following video from that creator will play. The following recommended video will play if a video is started from the 'For You' feed. Users have the option to scroll to the next and previous videos manually.
To return to the whole TikTok experience, users can click the full-screen icon to return to the tab where they were initially watching TikTok. The Floating Player is beneficial for multitasking and watching how-to videos, tutorials, or similar videos while following along on other websites or apps.
