Meta has expanded site links for Facebook ads to also support Instagram ads. With the latest update, site links can now appear as a carousel ad, where each site link becomes a card within the carousel. This feature applies only to single image or video ads. When you create such an ad and add site links, Meta may convert each site link into a carousel card, increasing exposure and opportunities for link clicks.
The first carousel card will display the main image or video from your ad, while the subsequent cards will show the images uploaded as site link thumbnails.
Additionally, site links can direct users to website domains you don’t own. This means your main ad can link to one domain, while site links can lead to other destinations like Amazon, Shopify, or YouTube.
