The 'WhatsApp Status' ad placement is expanding to more Meta ad accounts and is now automatically enabled in 'Traffic' campaigns optimized for link clicks, daily unique reach, or impressions when using 'Advantage + placements' at the ad set level. Meta introduced an option to "Include people on WhatsApp whose age is unknown," which can increase ad reach. For optimal performance, Meta recommends using fullscreen vertical (9:16) images or videos. If no WhatsApp profile is linked in Ads Manager, Meta may use the Facebook page entity to display ads on WhatsApp.
