Automated Rules templates in Meta's advertising platform have been replaced by automatic adjustments. Previously, these templates allowed users to enable features like Advantage+ Creative, reduce Auction Overlap, optimize Ad Creative, and reduce Audience Fragmentation. These templates facilitated significant structural and creative changes.
Now, when creating a rule, users are directed to the custom rule creation flow without the option of selecting templates. A message in the Automated Rules section clarifies that rules for recommendations are now automatic adjustments.
Automatic Adjustments
In the Account Overview page, users can manage automatic adjustments under categories such as Campaign Structure, Audience, Creative and Format, Delivery and Engagement, and Spend and Schedule. These adjustments function similarly to the previous automated rules. For instance, Campaign Structure adjustments address issues like Auction Overlap and Audience Fragmentation.
Users can either construct their campaigns to avoid these issues from the start or enable Advantage+ Creative and Standard Enhancements covered by the automatic adjustments.
The transition aims to streamline the process and integrate automatic adjustments directly into campaign management.
