Google to End Direct Food Delivery Orders by June 2024

The 'Order with Google' button is a feature that was introduced around 2020, which allowed customers to directly order food from third-party delivery sites like DoorDash, GrubHub, and Uber Eats through Google's search interface. With just a few taps, the button made it extremely convenient for users to place orders without having to navigate to the provider's site.

Google is set to discontinue the direct ordering option with the 'Order with Google' button by the end of June 2024. After this date, users will no longer be able to order directly from third-party food delivery sites via the Google Business Profile 'order now' button.

Once the 'Order with Google' feature is discontinued, users will no longer be able to place orders directly through Google's search interface. Instead, when they click on the 'order now' button in a Google Business Profile, they will be directed to the third-party provider's site to complete their food order.
