Google to End Direct Food Delivery Orders by June 2024

Google is set to discontinue the Order with Google button by the end of June 2024. This change will affect third-party food delivery platforms like DoorDash, GrubHub, and Uber Eats. Instead of direct integration in the search interface, Google is likely to provide links to these third-party sites.

This information was shared by Claudia Tomina, who received a notification from GrubHub. The notification stated that the option to order from third parties via the Google Business Profile "order now" button would cease.

Customers will instead be redirected to the provider's site.

The Order with Google button, introduced around 2020, simplified customers' ordering process.

However, Google plans to dismantle this integration by June 2024.
